The Swiss artist Johannes Itten (1888-1967) was not only a pioneering art theoretician and prominent master at the Bauhaus, but he also left behind a comprehensive and diverse body of work, only excerpts of which are still known today. Christoph Wagner teaches as professor of art history at the University of Regensburg. His research on the Bauhaus and modern art has made him internationally renowned. He is an elected member of the Academia Europaea (London).
