Description
The influence of the entrepreneur Hugo Junkers on the worldwide development of aviation is undisputedly legendary, but his local and global intervention in urban and architectural processes have just barely been documented to date. After decades of destruction and transformation, the densely woven network of his factories and offices, but also of his employees' homes, can only be discovered through an intensive search for traces in the city of Dessau. In addition, the international spread and diverse use of his lamella constructions are proof of Junker's holistic approach - a new perspective that takes a surprising look at the concrete site of his work and the radius of his charisma.
