The famous HL99 Bauhaus pendant lamp - the original!
The HL 99 luminaire classic among the hanging lamps was already designed before 1900 by an unknown designer and is one of the very first designs ever to be designed for lighting fixtures of electric incandescent lamps.
Here you see the only original version of the HL 99 hanging lamp, which is manufactured by Tecnolumen in Bremen and has the following quality features: The HL 99 pendant luminaire is a perfectly shaped Bauhaus style luminaire consisting of a chromed tube (length 1m) and a simple opal ball (Ø20, 25, 30cm). Due to this elegant design, the HL 99 hanging lamps have been used by renowned architects such as Peter Behrens, Adolf Loos or Josef Hoffmann to illuminate interiors.
It was not until the 1920s and 1930s that the HL 99 pendant luminaire was manufactured in large quantities and used primarily in school and office buildings.
