Description
Based on the simple shapes of the sphere and the circle, Gropius has created a form that always looks different in different designs and yet always inspires the same. The Skin Platinum decor from the Rosenthal studio-line captivates with the contrast between the matte and glossy surfaces on the porcelain. Sandblasting technique creates a relief on the flat pieces and etching technique gives hollow pieces a velvety, matte surface. A platinum-colored mosaic results from small superimposed leaves. The pattern extends partly over the entire surface of a piece of tableware or only as a contour on the edge.
