Description
The "Squares in Orbit" carpet by Christopher Farr was inspired by the painting of the same name by British artist Sandra Blow. Sandra Betty Blow, born in London in 1925, is considered one of the pioneers of British abstract art in the 1950s. She is known for her large-format, colorful works, which include abstract collages made from discarded materials. Sandra Blow began her career at St Martin's School of Art in 1941, aged just 16, and became a seminal figure in British abstract art and a trailblazer among female artists.
